Since 1990 I have had one foot firmly in the world of warm glass, thermo-forming, or to put it plainly, kiln work. While not a well known technique, it is the oldest known method of working glass. It involves heating glass to achieve either a merging of separate pieces into one (fusing), a change of shape from 2D flat to 3D curved (draping, sagging, or slumping), or some combination of both. From the late 80’s until 2016 I marketed a line of warm glass gifts that I sold nationally to hundreds of galleries, boutiques, American made craft stores, gift shops and art museums. I mostly retired that line but it is still available at the Corning Museum of Glass and a few galleries. I continue to experiment and make what my brain directs and heart desires. I welcome custom work for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, corporate awards or any reason at all. The possibilities are sculpture, lighting, mosaics, sinks, back splashes, dinner ware, fountains and a myriad of other possibilities.
